Italian maestro Andrea Bocelli partners with Biaggio Signorelli Foundation
Global superstar Andrea Bocelli, his wife Veronica, and talented children Matteo and Virginia gathered at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf on Wednesday evening for the worldwide press conference for Bocelli’s ‘A Family Christmas’ album live from Sydney. Following the press conference, the Signorelli family, owners of Doltone House, hosted an intimate charity dinner with the Bocelli family at Doltone House, and for the very first time, collaborated to support the Biaggio Signorelli Foundation and the Andrea Bocelli Foundation.
Seventy VIP guests, including the Governor General of Australia, David Hurley and Mrs Hurley were hosted by the Signorelli family. The guests enjoyed a specially crafted, traditional Tuscan Christmas menu, perfectly curated by the ever-stylish and talented Silvia Colloca, MC for the evening. The Bocelli family were genuinely humbled by the hospitality of the Signorelli Family, and the immense generosity of those guests who attended this remarkable evening.
Paul Signorelli, Chairman of the Foundation, said the Bocelli’s commitment for their cause was greatly appreciated. “We cannot thank the Bocelli family enough for supporting a cause so close to our hearts. We were also honoured to have the opportunity to partner with the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, with both charities equalling sharing the generosity of those attending this special event. It was a pleasure to be in the presence of the Bocelli family, and it was a great treat to spend an afternoon and evening with a loving family with exceptional talent,” said Mr Signorelli.
The Biaggio Signorelli Foundation is committed to raising awareness, early detection, treatment and cure for the asbestos-related cancer, Mesothelioma. The Foundation was established by Paul, Nina & Anna to honour their father Biaggio Signorelli, founder of Doltone House Group, who sadly passed away from asbestos cancer in May 2008.
The Andrea Bocelli Foundation, Ente Filantropico, was established in 2011, created to empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, and distress due to illness and social exclusion. It was inspired by the desire of Maestro Bocelli and his family to give back a measure of the love and support that they have received over the course of his career spent travelling around the world.
